On my last post, I commented about wine at Epcot Center (click here). Now it is time to see if we can enjoy a glass of wine at other Disneyworld parks as well!
Magic Kingdom: until 2012, wine, beer and spirits were totally prohibited at the park. “Be Our Guest” Restaurant opened on November 2012 with choices of wine and beer, but only at dinner! Reservations booked up really fast, and for the next 6 months there are no tables available. All I could do, was to take some pictures!
Animal Kingdom: a great park! At Africa you can find a good selection of south-African wines to taste (at local restaurants) and to buy. There are also a number of wine accessories at Disney’s shops, such as glasses and corkscrews for you to take home.
There are other restaurants at the park with a good wine list. I went to the Rainforest Café, which is directly on the entrance.
Hollywood Studios: There are many restaurants that serve wine at this park, but I highly recommend the Sci-Fi Dine in. The restaurant is a drive-in and your table is literally a car.
On the menu there are 2 choices of white wine and one red wine, all from USA. I was happy to know that even on a restaurant with typical American food (hot dogs, burgers), there are beverage for all tastes. And the kids loved the “atmosphere”!
Next week the last part of Disney and Wine, with Epcot “Wine Walk”, and wine tasting at Germany, France and Italy! Cheers!!
